The future of the Catholic church is in good hands if daily reflections posted by young people involved at St. Viator Catholic Community in Las Vegas is any indication.
Each day during Lent, Associate Rosy Hartz — Youth Faith Formation Coordinator at the parish — posts prayers or reflections by students and young adult leaders involved with its ministry.
“It’s about teens giving reflections — through their eyes,” Rosy says. “I didn’t know if enough teens would be interested but it is amazing to see all the dates filled up very quickly and the ministry seems to have taken on a life of its own.”
On Friday, Justin Daus offered a meaningful reflection from a verse by the Prophet Hosea. Justin credits much of his spiritual growth to the Viatorians. He grew up in St. Viator Parish and was active in its youth ministry. As a teen, he attended the Viatorian Youth Congress and now as a college student he is involved in the Young Adult Advisory Board, helping the Viatorian Community with ways to better reach young adults.
