Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) has organized an effort to oppose the retraction of health-care plan marketplace participation for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) holders. Organizations opposing this retraction, including the Clerics of St. Viator Provincial Council, have joined a letter for the public comment period expressing opposition to this reduction in access.

DACA holders are people who were brought to the US as children with legal documented status. Sometimes referred to as “Dreamers,” DACA recipients have registered in a federal program created by a 2012 Obama Administration executive order that allows them to remain legally in the country under certain conditions and without a path to citizenship.
