Somewhere, Fr. John Milton, CSV, is smiling. Exactly 10 years after he helped create the AP science program at Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep, its administrators now are crediting their AP courses with preparing students for the rigors of college.
Before the school’s recent college fair, Principal Michael Odiotti explained to 55 visiting college reps why students perform much better in college than their standardized tests might indicate.
“AP coursework is a great indication of college readiness,” he told them, “and participation in AP courses is at an all time high.”
