others about journeying through Lent. Those elements added up to a meaningful morning of reflection this month for members of the Viatorians’ western region.
It took place on the grounds of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and drew 25 associates, brothers and priests to attend. Fr. Ron Zanoni, vocation director for the Diocese of Las Vegas, led the morning of reflection.
His presentation opened with a reflection about the founder of the Viatorians, Fr. Louis Querbes, and his vision of a community of lay and religious ministering side by side — and of advancing that ministry forward.

In a second session, Fr. Zanoni spoke about how Lent challenges Catholics to not only give up something, but to replace it with something positive.
The Viatorians’ Province of Chicago includes a region in Arlington Heights, as well as in Chicago, Bourbonnais/Kankakee and out west in Henderson/Las Vegas, and the foundation of Colombia.

Each region brings together associates and professed as small faith communities, who gather regularly for prayer services, reflections, liturgies and service opportunities.
“Everyone agreed it was a wonderfully meaningful retreat,” said Br. Rob Robertson, CSV, “and something we all want to do again.”
