Fr. Daniel T. Nolan, CSV died Friday, April 4, 2025 in Wheeling, Illinois. He was born May 7, 1948 in Jersey City, NJ. He is survived by his brother, William Nolan (Linda) and preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Catherine and Luke Mullen and his sister, Kathy Morrison. He pronounced his first vows on September 15, 1973 and was ordained a priest on April 23, 1983 by Bishop Norman McFarland at St. Viator Parish in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fr. Nolan graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV. He earned a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a Master of Divinity from Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. From 1971 to 1972 he served as Director of Student Activities at Bishop Gorman High School. He moved to Illinois for the novitiate and to teach at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights (1972-1973) and attend classes at Loyola University (1973-1974). From 1974-1979, Fr. Nolan was a teacher and Dean of Students at Alleman High School in Rock Island, IL. After ordination to priesthood, he returned to Las Vegas to serve as Parochial Vicar of St. Viator Parish (1983-1988), Campus Minister, teacher and counselor at Bishop Gorman High School (1988-1993) and Pastor of St. Thomas More Parish (1993-2001). Next, he returned to Arlington Heights, IL, where he was Director of Vocations (2002-2007), Director of Mission Appeals (2002-2007) and Director of Formation (2004-2007) for the Chicago Province. From 2008 to 2011, he was Rector of Keenan Hall at the University of Notre Dame. Fr. Nolan served as Chaplain at St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach, CA in 2012 and Director of Campus Ministry at Mercy Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA from 2013-2014 before spending three years as Chaplain at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL (2014-2017). In 2017, Fr. Dan again served as Pastor at St. Thomas More in Henderson, NV until his retirement, July 2019. He relocated to the Province Center in Arlington Heights in 2022. Due to declining health, Fr. Nolan moved to Addolorata Villa February 2025.

Visitation and Mass of Christian burial were held Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Viatorian Province Center. Fr. Nolan was interred at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
