Kids in Cages: Virtual Book Talk

Event Details

What do kids escaping to our nation experience when they arrive? Join us for an informative book talk with authors who can tell you.

Kids In Cages: Surviving and Resisting Child Migrant Detention is a book released last November that documents the struggles faced by children who flee their homelands and come to the U.S. alone seeking refuge.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 1-2:30pm central time, over Zoom.

One chapter explains how Viator House and Bethany House, our sister organization, provide a safe, healing environment for immigrant youth after they’re released from government funded shelters for immigrant kids. Our chapter includes stories about and quotes from young men who have found a home at Viator House. Join Fr. Corey, who authored the chapter with Br. Michael, and other experts in the field for a discussion about the book’s findings.

Visit the Facebook Event to mark yourself as “ATTENDING” and receive reminders there.

The Zoom link will be posted in the Facebook event on the morning of March 19; subscribers to Viator House’s e-newsletter will already have received the link in their email.
