Fr. Dan Hall, CSV, recently completed his term as Provincial of the Chicago Province, guiding the Viatorian Community through the effects of the pandemic. But through his 40 years as a Viatorian, he has served as a Marine chaplain in the Middle East and later helped to start a parish in Belize, before returning to Saint Viator High School, where he was a teacher, administrator and coach.

In this latest podcast episode of Viatorian Voices: Conversations on the Way, Fr. Hall reflects on his own calling to religious life and exploring God’s invitation. It goes back to a discussion he had with a priest while serving in the Army’s Special Forces in Vietnam.

“A priest talked me through some of my struggles over there,” Fr. Hall says. “You don’t see so much death and destruction without asking different questions about what this thing called life is really about.”
