Associates Ken and Michelle Barrie have worked in youth ministry for more than 40 years in the Bourbonnais/Kankakee region, and lives have been changed, they say, both the young people they accompany — and their own.

“Pretty amazing stuff,” Ken says simply.
He recounts catching up with one of the original “gangsters,” who went on their first mission trip in 1999 to Pembroke Township, and of watching him grow into an adult, marry and raise a family, and stay involved with the church.
“It’s a neat thing, how the Lord has taken that 15-year old kid that I first met,” Ken says, “and come through life and raised his own kids and family.”
