In its latest post, the Chicago-based Voices for Creative Nonviolence, its coordinator, Kathy Kelly, looks at the situation in Yemen, 
in a report she calls “Death, Misery and Bloodshed in Yemen.”
“In the United States, news commentators discussing the Trump impeachment story liken the breaking developments to ‘bombshell after bombshell,’ ” Kelly writes. “In Yemen, real and horribly modern bombshells, made in the United States, kill and maim Yemeni civilians, including children, every day.”
Voices for Creative Nonviolence has long-standing roots in active nonviolent resistance to U.S. war-making. Begun in the summer of 2005, Voices draws from the experiences of those who challenged the brutal economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and U.N. against the Iraqi people between 1990 and 2003.
