This past week from May 7-9, I attended the annual Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) meeting in beautiful, historic Lexington, KY.
Berea College Special Collections and Archives in Berea, KY was the tour in the morning of the first day, followed by the Plenary Address in the afternoon. The keynote speaker was Joel Pett, an editorial cartoonist at the Lexington Herald-Leader Newspaper since 1984.
Archival sessions that I attended were on audio-video materials, social media for collections, numerous on-going project presentations and an ArchivesSpace update.
The opening reception on Thursday evening was held at the historic Carrick House and Friday evening a bourbon tasting and documentary on the Bourbon Industry was held at ArtsPlace Gallery.
It was a great meeting for continued learning and time with colleagues!
