At some point in their lives, many men seriously consider becoming a priest or brother. When, how often and why they consider this possibility varies from person to person. If the thought has crossed your mind with some degree of seriousness, you are not alone.
The first stage in considering life as a Viatorian is informal and free of obligation. At its core, a Viatorian vocation is all about relationship, and so the best way to learn more about our community is through a simple conversation with a Viatorian brother or priest. If you sense God calling you into religious life, Fr. Corey Brost, CSV, the Director of Vocations for the Province of Chicago, would be happy to help arrange a meeting with a Viatorian in your area.
After a period of reflection and conversation, the local Viatorian contact may recommend the man into our formal discernment program known as the Pre-Noviciate Program. This is followed by the Noviciate, Temporary Vows, and additional theological training.
