What is a Viatorian brother?

A Viatorian brother is a consecrated religious man who has dedicated his life to God’s service, sharing in the life and mission of the Clerics of St. Viator.

How can I become a Viatorian brother?

The Office of Vocation Ministry of the Clerics of St. Viator offers ongoing programs to help men interested in religious life learn more about what it means to become a vowed member of the community.

The discernment process includes becoming familiar with community life, praying in community, visiting several ministries throughout the province, ministering alongside Viatorians, and being companioned by Viatorians during this journey.

Once a prospective discerner is accepted in a community, his initial formation will include living and praying with the Viatorians in a formation house from pre-novitiate, to novitiate, to temporary vows, and finally, to perpetual vows.

What is a Viatorian priest?

A Viatorian priest is a consecrated religious man who is also ordained to the priesthood. He is called primarily as a member of the Clerics of St. Viator and takes the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. He may serve as an educator, in campus ministry, or even as pastor of a parish.
